The picture shows Bridgnorth's low town and is taken from the castle walk. Low town was the original Bridgnorth settlement and developed to support the river trade which was taking coal and iron ore from farther upstream. Following many raids high town was developed with its castle and town walls.

I live in the Severn valley area of Shropshire and have a number of interests which will be developed on this site. I am a keen photographer and will record many local interests and activities. In addition I will also present some of my other interests. I also intend to add topical comment, together with advice on better photography, a critique of photographs which is intended to help you to improve your photography and the best jokes that I can find.
